The Buteyko Breathing Method

The Buteyko Method will teach you and help you to:
  • Reduce and manage Stress
  • End or greatly reduce Asthma
  • Handle Blocked nose
  • Stop Panic Attacks
  • End Snoring and Sleep Apnea
  • Control the hyperventilatioin syndrome.
The Buteyko method Developed by Dr. Konstantin Buteyko (Russia 1923-2003) involves a total approach to health. It includes not only special breathing exercises but principles for exercise, food, and sleeping that Dr. Konstantin Buteyko considered vital in order to maintain or restore balance and a return to vital health.

Clinical Trials show a reduction in symptoms by at least 70%, making other treatments largely redundant.

Dr Robert Cowie, Resident Respirologist of Foothills Hospital in Calgary Canada and head researcher on the Buteyko Breathing Technique Medical Trial. (October 2004 – April 2005) Dr. Robert Cowie, is one of the most respected researchers in the field in the world. His previous works are sited over and over in the Asthma Guidelines for the US and North America. The Calgary study will undoubtedly be included in the next make up of these guidelines to come out probably in 2009.

By using the Buteyko method you will notice:
  • Considerably fewer allergic reactions
  • Dramatic reduction in medication
  • A greater understanding of your condition
  • Improvement in your sporting performance
  • Better stress managemen and reduction of stress-related symptoms
  • A good night’s sleep.
Most people think they know how to breathe, but don't. Most people have low oxygen stores. Butyeko Breathing teach you how to breathe and increase your oxygen stores. This, in turn, will energize your body and all your organs. This will increase bodily function and tissue repair.
  • Breathing should be strictly nasal.
  • Breathing should be slow.
  • Breathing should be from the diaphragm.
  • Normal breathing should be imperceptible.
Hundreds of medical and physiological studies have confirmed that hyperventilation (or breathing more than the medical norm, which is 6 liters per minute at rest) results in tissue hypoxia, while oxygen is crucial for all tissues, prevention of chronic diseases and vital health. Consider practical realization of this physiological law ("breathing more means less oxygen in cells") for people with various pathologies. Let us start with heart disease.
